Your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, you can return it even if you simply change your mind. Just follow our returns process to ensure a smooth experience.
How to Initiate a Return:

Contact Us First: Before sending back any products, please contact our customer service team to obtain a Return Authorisation Number (RAN).

Include the following information:
- Your order number
- Details of the product(s) to be returned
- Reason for the return
Special Exceptions for Personal and Food Items:
For health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns for change of mind on personal or food items unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown to you, not performing as expected, or in breach of manufacturer's warranties or consumer guarantees.
Non-returnable items include, but are not limited to:
- Personal Items: Pillows, eye masks, face masks, gaiters, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, sleeping liners, water bottles, mugs, hair appliances, manicure sets, ear plugs, earbuds, headphones.
- Food Items: Back Country Cuisine Freeze Dried Food, Outdoor Gourmet Freeze Dried Food.
Note: Freeze Dried Foods must be stored correctly to ensure longevity. Once they have been in your possession, we cannot verify their handling or storage, thus we cannot return them to stock.
Returns at Our Expense:
We will replace, refund, or credit any product at our expense under the following conditions:
- You received a damaged or faulty product (claims must be made immediately upon receipt).
- We sent you the wrong product.
- We did not meet fair trading requirements as governed by Australian law.
Shipping Returns:
- If you received a product via Australia Post, our customer service team will email you a RAN.
- Use Australia Post Registered Post to return the package to avoid loss. Once we receive the parcel, we will refund your shipping costs.
Returns at Your Expense:
We accept returns even if:
- You've changed your mind about the product.
- You made an incorrect choice.
- You failed to verify and accurately provide information when placing an order.
Conditions:
- Claims must be made within 30 days of receiving your product.
- Items must be in 100% resaleable condition. Used or imperfect items are not eligible for return.
- A restocking/admin fee of up to 20% of the item value may apply.
Shipping Your Return:
You can choose your preferred delivery method (Australia Post or courier). Ensure you use Registered Post to avoid loss.
Return Authorisation Number (RAN):
A RAN is required before returning any product. Once issued, the package must be returned within 14 days. All products must be in original, unmarked packaging, including accessories and documentation.
Replacement and Refund Process:
- Replacement: A replacement product will be shipped at our expense once we receive the returned product. Delivery time is based on product availability on our website.
- Refund/Credit: Refunds include all shipping and associated costs. No refund/credit will be issued until we receive the returned product. Refunds will be processed via the same payment method used for the purchase.

A local SIM card is essential if you're visiting the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Dubai), even for just a short stopover of a day or two as roaming with an Australian or European SIM card in the UAE is usually very expensive and VOIP applications like Facetime and Skype are blocked here so it is not possible to Skype home over a Wi-Fi connection.

Your Etisalat Wasel prepaid SIM card comes as a dual-cut SIM that works as both a regular (mini) and micro size SIM card. It is not compatible with phones that require a nano size SIM card.

International calling packages
Etisalat has a variety of discounted international calling packages, however Australia is generally not included in these offers. However the International Minutes Pack gives you a bundle of minutes that can be used for cheaper international calls (to all countries).

Combo packs (local and international calls plus data)
Most people find the Etisalat Combo Packs the best option as these include an allowance for calls and data and your call allowance can be used for both local calls and calls to 100 countries including Australia.
The Daily Combo Pack includes 20MB data plus five minutes of calls (can be used both for local calls or for calls to 100 countries including Australia) for AED 2.5 (approx. $0.95) per day. You can subscribe to the Daily Combo Pack by dialling *135*7# and you can unsubscribe by dialling *135*3*1*2#
Many people (including people only visiting the UAE for a day or two) opt for the better value Monthly Combo Packs as these include a much larger call and data allowance.

Activating your Etisalat UAE Wasel prepaid SIM card
We activate your Etisalat UAE SIM card for you, however we need you to provide the following documentation in order for us to activate your service:
- Colour photo of the photo page of your passport
- Colour photo of your airline ticket showing your flight arrival date and time
You must send this documentation to us before we are able to post your SIM card to you. It is usually easiest if you take photos of these documents using your phone and email them to us at shop@travelgear.com.au including your name, order number and travel dates.
Topping up your Etisalat UAE Wasel prepaid SIM card
There are several options for topping up your Etisalat UAE SIM card.
The easiest way to top up your Etisalat UAE Wasel prepaid SIM card is by eRecharge. Simply pop into an Etisalat retailer (this includes most convenience stores) and ask for eRecharge to top up your account directly without having to redeem your recharge voucher. You can eRecharge any value above AED 10.
You can buy recharge cards in five denominations (AED 25, 50, 100, 200 and 500) from 7000 retailers across the UAE (including most convenience stores, petrol stations and supermarkets). The recharge card includes instructions about how to redeem the credit to your prepaid account.
You can also top up online at ding.com. This is usually the easiest option if you need to top up your account when outside the UAE.
How long is my Etisalat UAE service valid for?
Etisalat advertise this SIM card as having a lifetime validity, however it's not quite as simple as that as it only remains active as long as it is in regular use (or if there is sufficient prepaid credit in your account).
Your Etisalat Wasel prepaid service is valid for at least nine months from the last date you use your service.
What this means, is that your service is kept active by continually using it. If you go for three consecutive months without using it you will be charged 10 AED every three months to keep your service active. If your prepaid credit balace is zero, your service will remain active for six months before your service is deactivated.
By leaving enough credit in your prepaid account you can essentially keep your UAE mobile service active forever, however if your credit balance is zero and your service becomes inactive you will need to buy a new SIM card before returning to the UAE.
If a newly activated sim card is not used within three consecutive months of activation, your service will be temporarily withdrawn for a period of one month and then deactivated. This is usually only an issue if you either never use your SIM card or if you cancel or postpone your trip after buying your SIM card from us.
