Your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, you can return it even if you simply change your mind. Just follow our returns process to ensure a smooth experience.
How to Initiate a Return:

Contact Us First: Before sending back any products, please contact our customer service team to obtain a Return Authorisation Number (RAN).

Include the following information:
- Your order number
- Details of the product(s) to be returned
- Reason for the return
Special Exceptions for Personal and Food Items:
For health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns for change of mind on personal or food items unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown to you, not performing as expected, or in breach of manufacturer's warranties or consumer guarantees.
Non-returnable items include, but are not limited to:
- Personal Items: Pillows, eye masks, face masks, gaiters, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, sleeping liners, water bottles, mugs, hair appliances, manicure sets, ear plugs, earbuds, headphones.
- Food Items: Back Country Cuisine Freeze Dried Food, Outdoor Gourmet Freeze Dried Food.
Note: Freeze Dried Foods must be stored correctly to ensure longevity. Once they have been in your possession, we cannot verify their handling or storage, thus we cannot return them to stock.
Returns at Our Expense:
We will replace, refund, or credit any product at our expense under the following conditions:
- You received a damaged or faulty product (claims must be made immediately upon receipt).
- We sent you the wrong product.
- We did not meet fair trading requirements as governed by Australian law.
Shipping Returns:
- If you received a product via Australia Post, our customer service team will email you a RAN.
- Use Australia Post Registered Post to return the package to avoid loss. Once we receive the parcel, we will refund your shipping costs.
Returns at Your Expense:
We accept returns even if:
- You've changed your mind about the product.
- You made an incorrect choice.
- You failed to verify and accurately provide information when placing an order.
Conditions:
- Claims must be made within 30 days of receiving your product.
- Items must be in 100% resaleable condition. Used or imperfect items are not eligible for return.
- A restocking/admin fee of up to 20% of the item value may apply.
Shipping Your Return:
You can choose your preferred delivery method (Australia Post or courier). Ensure you use Registered Post to avoid loss.
Return Authorisation Number (RAN):
A RAN is required before returning any product. Once issued, the package must be returned within 14 days. All products must be in original, unmarked packaging, including accessories and documentation.
Replacement and Refund Process:
- Replacement: A replacement product will be shipped at our expense once we receive the returned product. Delivery time is based on product availability on our website.
- Refund/Credit: Refunds include all shipping and associated costs. No refund/credit will be issued until we receive the returned product. Refunds will be processed via the same payment method used for the purchase.

Ortel Mobile offers a cheap prepaid service for travellers visiting Belgium.
The Ortel Mobile SIM card offers:
- Prepaid SIM card with a Belgian mobile phone number. It's a prepaid SIM so there is no contract or credit check required.
- Call within Belgium for only €0.06 per minute to landline phones or €0.12 per minute to mobile phones.
- International calls start at only €0.01 per minute (€0.12 to landlines in Australia and €0.30 to mobile phones in Australia)
- Free incoming calls regardless of where the call originates
- Internet access €10 for 500MB (you must first activate your mobile internet bundle to avoid more expensive casual data rates)
- Includes €7.50 of call credit, with a bonus €5 credit after you register your service.

Please note: The included €7.50 credit is only valid for 21 days from activation, so don’t activate your service more than a couple of weeks before travelling.
Call charges
Calls to landline phones in Belgium cost €0.06 per minute and calls to mobile phones in Belgium cost €0.12. A €0.15 call connection fee (flagfall) applies to these calls.
It costs €0.12 to send a text message to a Belgian mobile.
International call charges
Ortel Mobile has very cheap international calls (in some cases international calls are even cheaper than calls within Belgium).
International calls are subject to a €0.20 call connection fee (flagfall).
It costs €0.12 to send a text message to a mobile phone outside Belgium.
Is data available with this SIM card?
Yes. The casual rate for mobile internet is €0.50/MB, but you can easily reduce this by adding a mobile internet bundle.
Mobile Internet bundles are €10 for 1GB for 30 days and €15 for 2GB in 30 days. Send an SMS to get the special bundle rates.
Free calls to other Ortel and BASE mobile phones
When you top up you get bonus free minutes to call BASE mobile phones in Belgium plus Ortel Mobile phones in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.
- A €5 top up gives you 20 free minutes
- A €10 top up gives you 60 free minutes
- A €20 top up gives you 180 free minutes

It is easy to top up online with refills available in denominations of €5, €10 and €20.

You can also buy top-up vouchers at thousands of convenience stores, service stations, tabacs and newstands throughout Belgium.
Please note that this is a Belgian SIM card.
You can only buy credit at shops in Belgium (although you can buy credit online if you have Paypal or a euro credit card issued by a European bank - UK credit cards not valid). Although it is a great SIM for travelling in Europe, you should only buy this SIM if Belgium is your first port of call in Europe and you should buy enough credit before leaving Belgium to travel around Europe.
Can I roam in other European countries with the Ortel Belgium SIM card?
Like other European SIM cards, you can roam in other European Union countries cheaply. With Ortel it costs €0.09 per minute to receive a call and €0.35 per minute to call most EU countries (€0.10 to call the UK) when roaming in other European Union countries.
Data is available when roaming outside Belgium, at €0.24¢ per MB within EU countries. In Australia data costs €3.34 per MB, so you want to switch data off when you are in Australia!
Please note, however, that roaming in non-European Union Countries (including European countries outside the EU such as Andorra or Switzerland) is expensive and best avoided.
