If you're travelling in tropical areas where malaria is prelevant, a mosquito net is the best protection against mosquito bites, malaria and other mosquito borne diseases.

The Equip Speed mosquito net is a self-supporting style that is ideal for situations where there is nothing to suspend the net from. It can be used for camping and also indoors in hotels and hostels.

The Equip Speed self-supporting mosquito net can be erected and packed down in seconds and is adjustable for both single and double beds.

This mosquito net features:

  • extra strong nylon is UV resistant, will not yellow in the sun and takes less space when packed
  • excellent stitching quality and strength
  • reinforced skirting and eyelets for pegging when camping
  • white colour for maximum night visibility and maximum treated effectiveness (as recommended by World Heath Organisation)
  • folds flat for easy storage (5cm width x 45cm diameter)

This mosquito net is treated with Permethrin, which will kill mosquitos upon touch, theyby providing added protection against insects carrying diseases such as Malaria, Dengue Fever, Ross River Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, etc.

Equip makes the following claims regarding the effectiveness of its treated mosquito nets:

  • all nets are treated in Australia under Australian quality standards
  • Equip mosquito nets retain effectiveness for at least two years when stored in its original packaging
  • once the customer removes the net from its original packaging it is effective for at least a further six months or six washes
  • all Equip treated mosquito nets are clearly marked with the impregnation date (the date the net was treated with permethrin) and information regarding when the net should be re-treated
  • Equip nets can be re-treated as required using the Equip Permethrin Treatment Pack (De-Bugger)
