Permethrin Treated to Kill Mosquitos and Bed Bugs

This Sea to Summit mosquito head net is treated with permethrin to kill and deter bedbugs, mosquitoes and other biting insects. This unique feature makes this liner an essential travel item for travellers staying in budget accommodation or visiting warm climates where malaria is a problem.

Permethrin is a very effective, safe insecticide ideal for use around the world and is the best defence against bedbugs and mosquitoes.

When sleeping in warm conditions use your Sea to Summit sleep liner to reduce the risk of being bitten by annoying and potentially dangerous bugs. Even in these pests are intent on biting you through the fabric, contact dazes the insect, rendering it unable to bite and eventually stunning or killing it.

Permethrin is a synthetic insecticide that is very safe to humans and quickly degrades in the natural environment, leaving no residual toxicity. Your travel liner fabric is treated with a low concentration of permethrin but it is toxic and repellant to insects such as mosquitoes, bed bugs, fleas and midges. Developed from naturally occurring pyrethrum, which has a long and safe history in the effective control of insects, permethrin adheres well to fabrics and its effectiveness remains for up to five washes and can be re-applied easily. Re-treat with with Debugger Permethrin Treatment Pack.

Although a permethrin treated sleeping bag liner is possibly the best prevention against bed bugs, it is still not guaranteed protection against bed bug (or other insect) bites.
