An AT&T SIM card set up on the US, Mexico & Canada Monthly Plan is ideal if you're travelling throughout North America and will be spending time in Canada, Mexico and the USA. With this SIM card you get 30 days service including:

  • Unlimited incoming calls when travelling in Canada, Mexico and the USA
  • Unlimited calls within Canada, Mexico and the USA
  • Unlimited calls from the USA to Canada and Mexico
  • Unlimited calls from Canada and Mexico to the USA (calls from Canada to Mexico and from Mexico to Canada are charged at 1¢/minute and calls to most countries in the Carribbean are charged at 1¢/minute)
  • Unlimited text messages from the USA to over 100 countries (including Australia)
  • 1GB data within the USA only at up to 4G speed (after you have used your 1GB you may either add additional data or continue to access data at a slower speed)
  • 1GB data within Canada or Mexico

Calls to Australian landline and mobile phones are charged at $1.09/minute. We recommend you call using voip/data services when calling to Australia, as these calls are not included in your plan minutes. We recommend using either the Rebtel, Localphone, Facetime, Skype or Viber app to place all international calls.

How can I add extra data and data for Canada and Mexico?

When you have used your included 1GB data allowance, you can call AT&T by dialling 611 from your mobile phone and quoting your account PIN (usually the last four digits of your mobile phone number). Additional data charges are as follows:

Additional data package Cost
500MB data for use in the USA USD $10
1GB data for use in Canada and Mexico USD $25

These additonal data packages are valid for 30 days.

Can I use this for longer than 30 days?

If you are staying longer than one month, each additional month of service will cost you USD $55. You simply need to top up your credit so you have at least USD $55 in your prepaid account by the end of the first 30-day period. As long as there is at least USD $55 credit available, AT&T will deduct this credit from your account to pay for an additional month of service. You will also need to add another $25 data package if you are in Canada or Mexico for longer than 30 days. All up, it will cost USD $80 to continue your service for another month with the same features as your first month.

Your AT&T USA SIM card is ready to go

We will activate your AT&T USA SIM card for you so all you need to do is put it in an unlocked phone after arriving in North America.

  • There is no need to activate your SIM card. We do this for you.
  • There is no need to top up your SIM card prior to travelling. We add enough credit to pay for your first month of use.

We will set your SIM card up for you prior to posting your SIM card so you know your US mobile phone number as soon as you receive your SIM card. You will be able to use your SIM card from the travel date that you specify when ordering your SIM card.

Please note: Because of AT&T's activation process, we are not able to post this SIM card more than 14 days before your travel date. Please contact us if your travel dates change so we can ensure that your SIM card is ready to use as soon as you arrive in North America.
