Power that feels like peace of mind (especially when you’re off-grid)
There’s a certain kind of travel stress that only shows up when your phone is low: no maps, no booking emails, no “I’m here” message, and no torch when the campsite gets dark. A solar power bank is for the people who’d rather avoid that moment altogether.
If you’re not sure whether you need a solar option, this quick read helps you choose what actually suits your trip: The Ultimate Guide to Travel Chargers. It’ll save you from over-buying (or under-packing).
What this 20000mAh Solar Power Bank is
This is a 20,000mAh portable charger designed for travel and outdoor days. You can charge your devices three ways: USB-C, USB-A, or a Qi wireless pad for compatible phones. It also includes a built-in LED flashlight with multiple modes.
Two ways to recharge (and what to expect from solar)
1) USB recharging (your main “refill” method)
For most people, USB recharging is what keeps this power bank ready for the next day. Plug it in via cable and top it up like any other power bank.
2) Solar recharging (best as a backup / top-up)
The built-in solar panel is there for “just in case” energy when you’re away from power points. Solar charging speed depends on sunlight strength (season, time of day, cloud cover, and where you’re positioned). Think of it as a slow top-up that can help you stay going when outlets aren’t an option.
Real-world tip: If you want faster solar charging at camp, consider pairing this with a larger fold-out panel like the CHOETECH SC004 14W Foldable Solar Charger so you can capture more sun while you’re walking or set up at a base spot.
Charging options (wired + wireless)
Wire devices via USB-A or USB-C
Use a cable when you want the most consistent charge. This model is rated at 5V/2.4A output and includes dual USB-A plus one USB-C port, so it’s handy for couples or families sharing power.
Wireless charging (easy “drop and go”)
The built-in wireless pad is rated up to 5W for Qi-compatible devices. It’s perfect for topping up a phone while you’re reading, cooking at camp, or waiting around at the airport.
Compatibility (updated through 2025)
This power bank supports a wide range of phones and tablets, including popular iPhone and Android models. For iPhone, it suits the iPhone 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 range and newer iPhone models released through 2025. It also supports common Android ranges like Samsung Galaxy S21 / S22 / S23, plus other major brands.

Made for adventure (the practical benefits)
It keeps your essentials running when plans change
Delayed flights, long drives, or a campsite with no power point — having a high-capacity power bank means your phone stays usable for maps, photos, and contact.
It’s a built-in light source
The flashlight modes are ideal for the “where did I put that” moments in a tent, car boot, or cabin. SOS mode adds an extra layer of reassurance for remote trips.
Solar gives you a safety net
No one buys solar because it’s the fastest. You buy solar because it gives you an option when there isn’t one. Even a small top-up can be the difference between a dead phone and a phone with enough battery to get you through.
Who this is best for
Great fit: campers, hikers, road-trippers, festival-goers, and anyone who wants a backup plan for their phone battery.
Not the best fit: if you only ever charge at home and want the smallest possible charger, a slim non-solar power bank can feel lighter. (You can still browse standard high-capacity options too.)
Recommended add-ons
Faster solar capture (foldable panel)
If you want more reliable solar charging on longer trips, add a dedicated panel like the CHOETECH SC004 14W Foldable Solar Charger. You can hang it on a pack or set it up at camp for better sun exposure.
Budget-friendly fold-out alternative
Want a compact fold-out solar option for day trips? The 50W USB Solar Panel Folding Power Bank Phone Charger is another handy “sun-powered” option to keep in the car or travel kit.
True emergency backup (hand crank)
If you travel remote and want a backup that doesn’t rely on sunshine, a compact crank charger can be a smart add-on, like the Portable Hand Crank Emergency USB Charger.

FAQ
Is solar charging fast enough to fully recharge the power bank?
Solar charging speed depends heavily on sunlight and positioning. For most trips, USB is the main way you recharge, while solar works as a slow top-up when you’re away from power.
Can I charge three devices at once?
Yes—this model is designed to support multi-device charging using the wireless pad plus USB ports. Actual speed per device depends on what you connect.
Will it work with iPhone and Android phones?
Yes. It supports common phone and tablet charging, including iPhone ranges (12 and newer through 2025-era models) and popular Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy S-series.
Does the wireless charger work through a phone case?
Many Qi chargers work through thinner cases, but thick cases or metal/magnet accessories can reduce wireless performance. If wireless feels inconsistent, use a cable for a steadier charge.
Is the flashlight bright enough for camping?
It includes two brightness levels (180lm and 45lm) plus an SOS mode, which is handy for campsite tasks and emergency signalling.
